Pyramid Head, the main antagonist from the iconic horror game Silent Hill 2, is getting reimagined in a plush toy form. The toy, created by After the Credits, a company specializing in video game and pop culture memorabilia, retains the intimidating appearance of the villain but has a surprisingly adorable touch.

Although the plush toy won’t be available until January 4, 2024, interested buyers can already pre-order it on the company’s website for €34.99 (about $38 US). The plush is expected to provide a softer, cuddlier version of the traditionally menacing Pyramid Head.

Fans of Silent Hill 2 are eagerly awaiting news of a potential remake of the game. Bloober Team, the studio behind Layers of Fear and The Medium, is said to be working on the remake. However, no official release date has been confirmed by either Bloober Team or Konami, the game’s publisher.

Speculation about a September 29 release date had surfaced due to a comment made by an Australian retailer. However, this date has not been officially confirmed. The Silent Hill 2 remake holds significant expectations, as the original game, released in 2001, is considered a genre-defining masterpiece.

While there are doubts about whether Bloober Team can deliver a remake that does justice to the source material, fans can take solace in the upcoming plush toy of Pyramid Head. Even in the world of horror, there’s always room for a bit of adorableness.
